Conn Guitar Cases

Conn made cases and bags available for their instruments. Although it's unknown who made them (unless stated), they were of varying price--depending on the owner's preference for the amount of protection they provided. A few examples are below.

BELOW LEFT: The first photo below shows a substantial case that came with the Conn Model F-15 that I purchased online (my first Conn guitar). The one I purchased had a label indicating it was a 1976 model. One of the catalog pages from the 1976 catalog shows this case. It was called "The Protector".  My own case had lightly rusted hasps and hinges, and was dirty--but mostly in good condition. I removed the rust from the hinges and latches as best as I could, lightly sanded them, cleaned them with alcohol, then painted them black with a rust-resistant paint.  Thus the difference in the latches shown in my photo on the left. I sold the guitar but I kept the case. I later gave a Yamaha FG-230 12-String guitar to my brother, and included the case because it fit the guitar perfectly. He has recently offered to give it back to me because he never uses it. I'll probably take him up on it.

BELOW RIGHT: The case below was included with Conn's CSE-5 Electric Guitar--and possibly others. The CSE-5 that I purchased came in this, its original case. The outside is semi rigit--not as thick as the "Protector" case, but adequate to protect the guitar. The inside is plush orange fabric with a large accessory pocket.

BELOW: The gig bag below is a very basic one--where the guitar slides in and strings are drawn to hold it in. The bag is made of denim, and has a carry handle on the top (see immediately below) a shoulder strap and a small pocket on the front for accessories (second photo).
